I guess I don't understand your problem. Sorry. Did you upload the folder DONATE to your root?

If that png file is what you see it looks like the language edits or uploads to language file are not there.

daneh wrote:I also have a code for displaying a goal and it showing on the index page updated automatically. you can see it on my site http://www.badaforums.net/forums I have attached the needed files here. Read the readme.txt file to install it properly. This is only to prosilver based styles, but it can probably be easily made to work on subsilver based styles as well. Let me know if you guys have any problems.

**File Updated** forgot to add readme

This looks good. Going to try it on my local and thank you daneh.

Hello,
Thank you for this MOD.
In regards to the goal add-on I have a little issue with it.
The progress bar simply shows as full even though no donations have been made.

I've gone through the ReadMe a dozen times but can't find where I may have gone wrong.
Would you know why this isn't working?

Cheers

Since I am still a nub, (only been using PhpBB3 since June 2010) I thought I'd share what I did to make the Donation Mod look nice and enticing.
I wanted the link in the top right hand corner above the Search function with a graphic. Here is how to achieve it: (Prosilver styles).

Open your overall_header.html in your template location.

Find
Code: Select all
div id="site-description">
            <a href="{U_INDEX}" title="{L_INDEX}" id="logo">{SITE_LOGO_IMG}</a>
            <h1>{SITENAME}</h1>
            <p>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</p>
            <p class="skiplink"><a href="#start_here">{L_SKIP}</a></p>
         </div>

Add this on a new blank line after the above find:
Code: Select all
<div id="paypal" style="text-align:right;">
                  <a href="./donate"><img src="./images/paypal.gif" alt="Donate" title="Donate"/></a>
         </div>

Change your image name to the one you have placed in your images directory.

Save, refresh your style and clear the cache.

Don't hammer me too hard please. :)

Hey Ed,

That looks very cool. You'll want to change the
Code: Select all
<a href="./donate">

to use the paypal template link, which will probably look like this (I haven't seen the actual code, so somebody please correct me if I'm wrong)
Code: Select all
<a href="{U_DONATE}">

Then I wish phpBB built in a way to automatically assign images to templates the same way they do with language entries.
You'll also want to change the alt and title to use {L_DONATE}

Was that a hard enough hammer? :tease:
