I just checked it again and it still doesn't work. I signed up with u.sannonetop@gmail.com which is listed on stopforumspam.com but it didn't detect anything. What will happen if it detects a email listed on stopforumspam?
Anyways, how can I get it to work? :(

Try registering with a username from the site that is a spammer.

Still no detection or any kind of notification.

I used a program called AutoMod from phpbb and your mod installed without any problems, but I can't find the spam detection mod anywhere in my ACP. I read on the first page of this forum that I had to run spammer_install.php and I can't get that to run either. Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend trying again and doing it manually as it seems like AutoMod did not install this mod correctly. Please note that this mod is still in beta status and may not be fully configured to work with auto install mods.

Re-load a backed up copy of your database and fresh copies of edited files for this mod and try again.

Please note this should not be installed on a production server.

How to complete remove this mod? Do I need any SQL commands for it or do I only have to delete the module from ACP and the included files on my FTP server?

You need to run the install file, forgot to put that in the install file.

Thanks for writing this mod! StopForumSpam is a great website, and 100% of the spammers I have encountered on my forums are already listed in their database... so I am glad they were chosen as one of the two spammer databases for this mod.

As for future requests, I think the most popular one everyone has mentioned would be to deny spammers from registering at all. If you wanted to take this feature to another level with stopforumspam, it would be cool to have an option to say:

- Deny registration if Email is listed with StopForumSpam [x]
- Deny registration if IP is listed with StopForumSpam [x]
- Deny registration if Username is listed with StopForumSpam [ ]

And make those options checkboxes, so we can choose whether or not the user is allowed to register. And say a spammer is detected by only his username, but you didn't have it checked above to deny registration -- then you could have the mod send the founders a pm or make a post warning them (like it currently does).

Keep up the great work!
