[OFFICIAL RESULTS] Nov. 6-8 Presidential Runoff Election

Hello distinguished citizens of Bertie Mons,

The polls for our November 6-8 Presidential Runoff Election closed about five hours ago, and the results were announced on this morning's live episode of phpBB Weekly, along with the formal inauguration of the president-elect. There were twenty-one (21) valid votes cast in this election, and here are the official results:

• Albertie Einstein (Intellectual Party): 12 votes / 57.14%
• Lyndon Bertie Johnson (BFA House Party): 9 votes / 42.86%

Therefore, Albertie Einstein is our new President of Bertie Mons!

On behalf of Albertie, his campaign manager, Hank the Cowdog, took the oath of office and presented his inaugural address live on phpBB Weekly #084 (the episode will be released either today or tomorrow). As a prize for winning the contest, Hank the Cowdog will be receiving a special presidential rank/image and bragging rights here on StarTrekGuide (plus there is an unconfirmed word that some other individuals may also be presenting prizes of their own as well).

This contest is now over, but by popular demand, the forum will be kept active as the home of Bertie Mons, and there may be some more developments coming soon, as David hinted on today's episode of phpBB Weekly. However, I'm no longer in charge here; that honor belongs to Bertie Mons' newest president. I'm also told that SCOFF isn't going to be going away either, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens next around here...

All in all, thanks to everyone who participated in the contest and made it so exciting and so much fun. Congratulations to all four candidates for the excellent work they did on their campaigns. Finally, good luck to the new president as he transitions into his new job and organizes his administration. Berties all around the universe will be watching as you lead them forward.

Well, on public holidays (that hank said he will have created) i would think it would also be law that STG closes on these days. Is this true Jordan?

Congrats on winning though i do feel sory for poor LBJ, He had so many set backs, especially the one from frost (im sure it was the wrong bertie).
