I would try using the official converter and although it would mess up your parent ID?s, you can just reassign their parents.
The official conversion script is a bit more compatible than this one is...

And only if that script fails, would I try this one.

so the official converter would work om a modified phpBB 2.0.22 with Categories Hierarchy v 2.1.6

It might work... yes... I would give it a shot, since there have been some success reports from people with CH MOD boards using it... as long as all the forums make it over in one piece, even if they are in the wrong spot, you are successful, and it's just a matter of reassigning the forum parents.
Which you can do in ACP > Manage Forums > Edit Forum

well it export the forum but with some error
no attachment exported
no hierarchy exported properly
weirds characters exported

Still testing the results.
