MOD Description: A light text-based notepad for the UCP. Installation instructions for both module version and the normal version are in the package.

Notes: There are two versions in this package. If you want the UCP Notepad to be installed into the User Control Panel's Front page, follow the instructions in install_normal-version.xml file, which is in the contrib folder. To install the Notepad as a separate Module so that you may choose to place it where you want, follow the instructions in the install.xml file which is in the main folder. Upgrade instructions are in the contrib folder. Please feel free to ask for support if something is not clear.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE: If you are running version 1.3.0, please see this post by Jaymie1989 for the SQL queries you need to run -- there is no other change between 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 (current version) other than these changes. Basically, you have to change the user_notepad table from NOT NULL to NULL. Please post in this thread if you need assistance.

I use one of these Notepad MODs on my phpBB2 board and it saved your notes as a cookie on your computer.
There are no notes at all on the server or in the database on the server.
I like that!
How is this Notepad setup? .... database? .... I'll go look.

I don't think a cookie is very safe...it could get corrupted/deleted any time, and the user wouldn't even know what happened to all their notes! This runs out of the database...In the phpbb_users table, user_notepad row.

I'll update this now.

Can anybody help with UTF-8 fixing?.. My forum use cyryllics and as result users have only question marks...
