Cool! I knew I was missing something. I'll have to check out the separate UCP module version.

OK, by removing the style codes in your template and rewriting it with the standard prosilver codes,
it look right in all the prosilver type styles I had installed. This works fine with no extra styles.
No is NEVER an Option and NEVER is the only Option when it comes to Giving Up!

Sniper_E wrote:OK, I opened the ucp_main_front.html and before the <!-- INCLUDE ucp_footer.html --> I added <!-- INCLUDE ucp_notepad.html -->

And this is the ucp_notepad.html I'm using....
Code: Select all
<form action="{NOTEPAD_FORM_PROCESSOR}" method="post">
<h2>{L_UCP_NOTEPAD}</h2>

<div class="panel">
   <div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>

   <div id="ucp-notepad">
      <p>{L_UCP_NOTEPAD_EXPLAIN}</p>
         <!-- IF S_SAVE_DONE --><p id="save-done-msg"><strong>{L_UCP_NOTEPAD_SAVE_DONE}</strong></p><!-- ENDIF -->
      <p>
            <textarea name="ucp-note" id="mod_note" class="inputbox" rows="5" cols="76">{NOTEPAD_TEXT}</textarea><br />
            <span>
      <fieldset class="submit-buttons">
            {S_HIDDEN_FIELDS}<input type="submit" name="ucp-note-save" value="{L_UCP_NOTEPAD_SAVE}" class="button1" />
         {S_FORM_TOKEN}
      </fieldset>
            </span>
      </p>
   </div>

   <span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
</div>
</form>

OK, I can add a note and save it.... then it goes back to the page ready to add a new note.
The note goes in the db in that new field but how is it pulled up for you to view your notes. I'm getting nothing.

I used your code and no changes happend.

There are 2 different versions of this MOD,
  • One that installs as a separate UCP module (or page) - no file edits
  • The other is embedded into the UCP main page - need to edit files

It seems from the screenshot you're using the second version, so have you made the file edit to includes/ucp/ucp_main.php?

FIND:
Code: Select all
         break;

         case 'subscribed':

The previously saved note is supposed to be shown in the textarea.

I can't find this part in my file. :scratch:

That post was for Sniper_E.
JeRicHoOL, the MOD itself is working for you right? It's just the style changes that don't work? Also, which version of the MOD are you using? The separate module or the embedded one?

BTW, the bit is supposed to be near line 199.

There are 2 different versions of this MOD,

* One that installs as a separate UCP module (or page) - no file edits
* The other version is embedded into the UCP main page - need to edit files

Would that make any difference when you want to change the background of the notepad? Well, I'm using the integrated one. If you don't know any more solutions I'll try out the other version in the next days.

I wouldn't think so, because the textarea is made yellow in only one place...

On the install file I see this :
This MOD is development quality. It is not recommended that you install it on a live forum.

But in this topic I don't see anything of the like. So which is it.

I would think that being in version 1.3.1 it should be stable, but I'd rather be than sorry...

I noticed that a while ago, too. Don't worry though it's just something in the install instructions file that makes it think it's a beta - it is not. :D
