It?s a TC (Total Conversion) for EV-Nova (Escape Velocity Nova) for Mac and Windows. The Total Conversion was to create an entire Star Trek universe, from about the time of Kirk through the end of the Dominion war and the return of the U.S.S. Voyager to Earth.

From the description:
STN:TFF wrote:STN: Final Frontier is a EV-Nova Total Conversion based on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. You start off in Starfleet Academy and following a number of training exercises, you will be receive your first assignment as an ensign on board a Federation Starship. You will follow the main storylines from the Star Trek series although your 'success' or 'failure' could change the outcome and the future of the Alpha Quadrant as we know it. All the usual Star Trek aliens will be there, including some of your favorites like 'Q', 'Hugh' and 'Lore'. You will face the unstopable Borg, the ruthless Dominion, the nomadic Hirogen Hunters, the underhanded Romulans, the cunning Cardassians, the honor driven Klingons, and maybe even... Species 8472. You may even get the chance to follow storylines of the other major alien races.
The universe awaits you... Good luck and godspeed.

Most of the screenshots are posted here on STG: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=797
There are some graphics previews available on Advent One Graphics including some of the planets I made.

I used to be one of the developers for it, and it was the primary reason StarTrekGuide was created, to have a "base" where the developers and fans could come and discuss the development of the TC. But it was about that time that I started to really enjoy PHP programming and I got into it full-time, leaving this game, and the TC far behind. Many of the developers became inactive with the TC as well, and now there is one person who I need to send files to so that he can attempt to continue development of the game. The main reason it really was never finished is because none of us had a 3D editing program good enough to create the ships. At least not in a timely manner. When 3DS Max was given to me, a year later, I no longer had the time to put into developing the game, and it has since become Vaporware.
Watch out! I might do a code wheelie!

Shame to hear that its no more. It looked cool. I would offer to help but due to my lack of knowledge of pretty much everything to do with coding, I would just get in the way  .

Actually, really all they need is someone who knows how to create or edit 3D models, and 3DS Max, the game requires very little coding, and many on the team actually know how to do that. It's just the 3D models that are/were holding them up.
