Stargate Portal (aka Kiss Portal) RC1

until now i'm still confused to install the portal in my localhost....
I've copied all the files in the folder files to my /localhost and do all the instruction in the stargate.xml (portal_0.3.1\portal\docs\modx)

Where is the portal folder?

Did I miss something?

in your ZIP file I also found index.php, install_install.php, install_main.php, install_update.php, phpinfo.php, portal_install.png, Read_Me_First.txt.
Do I need to copy These files too?

There is also Schemas folder in the zip file. contains the mysql schema. Do I need to execute this in my Database or what?
And the mods folder too, do i need to copy the files inside or what?

I'm really confused right now....

Hello, I have tried to install Stargate Portal but I keep having difficulties.

I then tried a fresh install of the premod and it worked great.

I wonder then if there is some way to insert the database backup from a phpBB3 install into the new clean premod?

What backup type and tables would I want to pick in the phpBB3 backup system?

so i go to the site, get the latest... follow all the instructions, then get an error

Just a couple of updates for anyone following this thread...

The download link, links to an older version I don't recommended using this version unless you are up to date with the development... You can get information of the latest version (0.4.0/RC1) at the main site http://www.phpbbireland.com ... Priority for the download link will be given to anyone who is prepared to test locally i.e. not live...

Many updates have been added (will update first post soon)...

RC1 is the last release, and when released it will be submitted for accreditation to phpBB...

The RC1 test version is available at sourceforge... 596 downloads so far this month... no real bugs reported ...
