Sniper, the code i gave you is working perfectly on my site, before you login.. so its detecting as soon as your get to the page.

And your mobile style is not set as the default style of the board?
Or is your mobile style the default style and that's why you see it when you connect?

Oh Sithnar.... I just thought of something else.

On this script that we are using it is suppose to detect if you are viewing the site from a mobile device browser and set the mobile style as the style you will see in their phone browser. This has to force the mobile style on you.

I had the test user's default style set to the mobile style in the UCP on my test site.
WRONG! I just set test's default style to SniperBlue, so if you login as test AND you are using a mobile device browser, this script of yours will force the mobile style on you.

Now, this mobile detect script of yours can be tested properly.

Any testers want to check this out for us?

Did it show you the mobile style on connect or did you have to sign in as test before you saw the style?

If you saw it on connect also then we just need to build a list of mobile browsers.
I want it to where it works for any mobile browser, even on connect if possible.

I think we're getting somewhere with all this!

not logged in.. see mobile theme

logged in ... still shows mobile theme regardless of profile setting

glad someone else jumped on the bandwagon with this

was kinda boring developing a theme on mi own

mines more aimed at VERY low bandwith, the forum index of my theme is a whopping 34kb when fully loaded

no sigs and VERY little images, but it does have smilies.

Any mobile phone users out there for testing?
We need as many mobile browser names as possible to add to our list for this MOD.

Sithnar, sign in at my site and look in the Who's Online page and copy your browser info. (see if mine detects the same)
Ika, blackbelt, sTraTo and Richard, would you guys mind getting us your browser info also?
And let us know which style you see when you connect and which style you see after you sign in.

Omg i just loaded the vista theme up on my mobile for STG.. when loading the forum index the byte count slowly climbs up to 1mb!!!

Will test your theme sniper see how much bandwidth it takes. my contract i get 5mb a month and have to pay per mb after that, so STG would be 5 refreshes of the forum index

Sniper, I still don't see the mobile theme when I use my iPod. When I visit http://darklord.ath.cx/browser.php it says
