How to install phpbb3 beta 1

I`ve saw the PM with this new beta1. now i don`t know hot to install it. i`ve uploaded to www.oktav18.lx.ro/forum2 and i click install ... and from there i cant do nothing anymore ... any ideas ?

hmm ... like a n00b i am ... Error: uncaught exception: What The... should i write to :

Database server hostname or DSN:

Database server port:
Leave this blank unless you know the server operates on a non-standard port.

Database name:

Database username:

Database password:

Prefix for tables in database:

Hey Oktav,

I'm going out of town tonight, so I won't have any time to assist you, but also, I only provide support here on the forums so that everyone can benefit.

But this link should help get you going.
And if you have any trouble, there are those here who would be glad to help I'm sure.

The server you are on may not properly support phpBB3, so you may need to go with a free server for phpBB3, or do some kind of hosting plan that will allow you FTP root access, or shell access... as well as php that is not in "safe mode", as that does not seem to work correctly.

First you need to create a database and a user with permissions to read/write/everything whatever that may be to that database.

then in those fields, your host would be localhost
leave server port blank unless your server has a freaky setup and it's on another port.
Database Name: Type your database name here.
Database username: Type your db username here.
Database Password: Type the password you specified for your db user.
