Avatar auto resize

Mod Request for Avatar Upload and Upload from URL automatic resize so users can upload any image size and it would automatically save as a smaller image to within the image dimension parameters.

The Invision Power Boards uses this.. automatic resize. You can upload any picture to be used as avatar and it will automatically resize it for you.
I'd like to see this done on STG.

hi all,
well i just notice in my forum that if i set the max size of the Avatar to for example 50 x 50 but when a user upload his avatar it is not limited nor the image is resized to fit the Avatar Area it is just displayed as a one biig image

so i was wondering if there is an ADD on or am i missing somting in the ACP
i searched on this site but i didnt find what i need

also i m sorry if this post isnt in the right pls.

Hmm, Maybe I am not understanding correctly but I have just tried it with my board. I set the max to 50 x 50 and tried to upload and avatar 100 x 88 and I get this message.

The avatar must be at least 40 pixels wide, 40 pixels high and at most 50 pixels wide and 50 pixels high. The submitted avatar is 130 pixels wide and 88 pixels high.

Are you saying that your board is allowing avatars larger thatn thr max specified?

There's a Min size and a Max Size? make sure you're changing the correct one.

hello sorry for the late respond, and sorry about my bad description on my problem, what i m searching for is a mod or something that will resize the avatar automaticlly so when a user submit an avatar even if it is greater than the max size it will get resized

Not to beat a dead horse here, but I could really use an avatar auto-resize mod as well, and I have nowhere NEAR the expertise to actually create one. You would think it would be included in phpBB at this point since it has been available as a mod for most versions all the way back to the version 1.0.x installation I had about four or five years ago.

Yea, I think I requested this a long time ago. I don't need it for myself but for my users. Even though I offer a special easy to use resize program they still can't get it.
