Challenge Requests

Postby DualFusion » 10 Jun 2007, 11:27

How many of you want to see a challenge on here?

Well, here is the place to do so. Remember, challenges can't be too easy, yet not too hard either :) Try to be pretty much specific about what you want as well. Also, not all requests will be made into Challenges, unfortunately. Just post, and you'll find out! :D Requests that will successfully be made into a challenge will be posted here, below:

Challenges:

And, remember, do not request a challenge for something you want. All scripts will be submitted via PM's and not in the topic ;)

How about this one?

Make a script that will select a random logo for your board on each pageload. First version should just read all files from a folder and pick one, second should use all image files beginning with "site_logo". So site_logo.gif, site_logo.jpg, site_logo1.png and site_logojfioseujhf893wiousu38risfoieufoes.jpeg would all be included.

feeble attempt at comedy:
CHALLENGE: Someone actually take a look at what I have so far and maybe then help finish my board!

But serious, my initial thoughts are ideas I have floating dead in the water (point total + post count ranking system, personal youtube galleries for profiles, JQuery status + mood changer, Admin ACP add sig code&examples to profiles for user copy & paste... ect ect) Which would be totally great to have any of them done but then I think why not something which can maybe become an regular thing that could be a great help to many people? and that would be digging out dead/abandoned MODs via poll to choose which one and utilizing the collective talent and skill here to finish them to better if not total working status?
