Evil quick reply 1.0.1

Postby eviL3 » 12 Apr 2007, 14:59

MOD Title: Evil quick reply
MOD Description: This modification will add a hidden quick reply form to the bottom of the viewtopic page. It adds a "Quick reply" image next to "Post reply", that will display the quick reply form when clicked. The goal of this MOD is not to offer as many features as possible, it's built to be as simple as possible.

That's very much like we have it at phpbbmodders (running phpBB2), allthough i kinda like the way it is now (in the mod), because it's hidden until you click the button. Like that, if you don't want to use it, you won't even hate to scroll past the form! :good:

I know the goal is to keep it simple as possible but shouldn't the subject be included?

I'll make it an option (you'll need to enable it in the source though). Thanks for the feature request :)

I like the idea that it's a simple reply.... type your message real quick, submit and take off reading the rest of the forums.

If you want anything else.... click on postreply

That's EXCACTLY what i think. I don't like quick replies with all the options personally, because if you have an "advanced" reply, you should take the time and click on the reply button :D

I agree as well... it's nice having limited features for a quick reply... just the basics is all that's needed... I think some ppl may say that a Subject isn't basic but in my mind it is... and I'm glad it's going to be an option :D

Cool, should it have "Re: Topic title" by default, or just blank?
