Looks like you could have a Bom signature in your includes/functions file. What file editor are you using?

Few questions...

Is this 3.0.1 compatible?
Can the bits of the anonymous posting or whatever it is be removed? I don't want to have that feature...

Can this (later on) be altered to respond to new topics in a designated forum?

You have to set the user permission (you can do it via the roles too) to allow using of the bot (even for founders).
Then a link will appear in the forum menu

QUESTION:

I would like to limit the Bot to three of my forums. So all the others don't even show up in the drop-down menu.
I tried changing the permissions for the bot himself. But it seems that they are overruled by the user settings of the user, who uses the bot. How can I cange that?
The bot should have his own set of permissions and whoever uses the bot, will only be able to use it with the bots permissions.

Please help me out!

Hello everyone, just to let you know whats going on here!

I am just finishing up on my custom bbcode permissions mod then I am going to start back on the postbot as I have more time to do it now.

Yes the next version is going to include that feature that allows the user to select which forum the post bot is allowed to post in.

Also the next version in coming in 2 separate packages one for that includes the welcome and birthday post mod and one that includes it all. And a few new features are coming as well.

nice to hear.
can't wait! until then, I will remove it, since i don't want all forums be accessible by the bot.
Sadly it seems like I can't really turn it off (maybe its just not working for founders, once it has been enabled.
So a global on and off switch in the bot-settings would be nice too...

Tom, I'd been working on a autoreply extension to this MOD (for private use on Promote 4 Free), and I'm not sure what all is left, but if you want what I'd done so far, I'll PM you with the files. :)
