New Users Can't Register After Upgrade

Upgraded from 3.0.6 to 3.0.9 and now new users cannot register an account. After clicking on the "I agree" button on the rules page, a blank white screen appears and the account creation will not proceed any further. I have disabled my custom style and have only prosilver activated, but have no clue what to try beyond this. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you don't have any modifications in it, try replacing the languages/en/ucp.php file with one from a fresh phpBB3.0.9 download.

Thanks, but I do have mods I should have filled out the support request, but didn't see it until after I posted. Sorry. Any other suggestions?

First Purge the cache in the ACP.
Then check the following,

Check the error log in the ACP > Maintenance > Error Log and see if there is anything relevant there.

Check the above mentioned language file and make sure all of the lines in the arrays are terminated correctly with a comma.

Make sure there are no blank spaces before the opening <?php in that file also.

Cache purged . . . no relevant errors in the log . . . all lines terminated correctly in ucp.php and no leading spaces before opening <?php

Carefully edit the config.php

Change

Removing the comments //

Then go through the registration process and see if any errors show up.

About all I can tell you now is to send me the details for the site.
And PM me FTP credentials so I can look through the files.

Its a parse issue somewhere, whether its an unfinished line or a BOM.
Something that is not showing up in the normal PHP parsing.

Ok, the language file was encoded wrong and also had BOM's in it.

Could you purge the cache so we can see if this fixed it.
