Sorry, I had a very busy weekend and wasn't actually at my computer. I'll have to work more on it this weekend; hopefully I'll have some time then.
I wouldn't expect updating to 3.0.10 to help because this was created for phpBB 3.0.0 RC5, so they've changed some code since then.

I've been looking at it, and while I don't understand it all by a longshot, it seems to me that for whatever reason, the $xtra_params aren't being passed in format_url(). I've been trying to figure out what parameters get posted when you click on a poll option, and so far no luck. I can't find it in the phpBB core code, or I'm not recognizing it when I see it.

I did find this while researching it:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p4222945

It's dated 2008, but it may be relevant.

Are you sure you've found every instance of
$topic_id = $row['topic_id'];

and added
$topic_title = $row['topic_title'];

after?

hey! thanks so much for chiming in.

i did that fix awhile ago and this mod worked perfectly on 3.0.6 (i think it was 3.0.6).. then the next few updates i sort of lost sight of it and left the dynamic URLs but now would like to go back to having this mod in good working order so i dug it up together with all the fixes (see here) but no bang for polls i'm afraid:(

i totally understand.. *sigh* now i really have to uninstall it cuz i've been promising to the peeps the polls for way too long (and offering them something as non-tangible as fancy URLs doesn't really help me here:)) - handyman, except undoing file edits, is there any SQL change that needs to be done as well to safely uninstall this mod? thanks!

The only SQL edit should have been to the config table, which can be safely removed or left alone, either way.
