It appears that you need to create a directory on your system in order to install this package ... is that correct?

It?s meant to be the root of your website, although you can put it in a directory if you wish. Either way, it?s compatible.
It just requires a running phpBB3 installation and that?s all.

Thank you for your reply.

I currently have the forum in the root directory which means over writing forum files which would create problems as the some website files have the same names.

If I set up the website in the root directory, then I should move the forum into another directory ... correct?

option #1: Instead of overwriting the directories, you would simply add the files from /includes/ to the phpBB3 /includes/ directory... cache will just use the phpBB3 cache directory, then /template/ and /theme/ are unique directories, so you won't conflict there. Obviously you'll want to remove the framework's index.php file, and create your own file.

option #2: You can create a new directory for this framework, such as /framework/ and all new files will just point to this directory.

I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I'm still new to phpBB. I've been using the article from the Knowledge Base - Add a New Custom Page to phpBB http://phpbbcom.phpbbservice.nl/kb/article/add-a-new-custom-page-to-phpbb.html. I installed this package (thank you very much for making it available) and I notice some similarities with the .php controller file and the .html template files I've been making. Should I re-do the pages utilizing this new package?
Also, would there be any way to insert my header, and maybe footer around a copy of MediaWiki I've installed? Or rather run the MediaWiki program inside my header and footer? Keeping the header would really be nice for website continuity.

Thank you for your time,
Matt

You shouldn?t have to completely redo it, you should be able to just adjust a few things within your PHP Controller to make it work with this framework.

Unfortunately, I do not know enough about MediaWiki to tell you for sure, but I would wager that you need to copy your header/footer to Media wiki's template to use the same theme.
