I have done further testing and can't seem to find anything wrong here. Could you please pm your forum url and I will see if I can register on your site with reCAPTCHA enabled.

Update : GFreeman's website is running bb3portal. On both Vista and Windows Server 2008 I get the error under IE -
Code: Select all
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site "" - Operation Aborted.
This is on ie 7 version 7.0.6001.18000 . GFreeman has managed to get it working on windowsXP SP3, ie 7 installation is 7.0.5370.11.

GFreeman's site is running bb3portal.

I will request a copy of bb3portal of the same version of his site and ask him which version of phpBB 3 is running.

This is to keep everyone updated in regards to the rules on Star Trek Guide. If anyone can suggest something to try that would be welcome. GFreeman has stated that he has checked his edits multiple times and hasn't found anything.

This mod does not work. Its only action is to delete the existing CAPTCHA!
Does anyone have a fix for this?

Make sure you have installed it correctly and if you dont mind, turn on debug and debug extra to see if any errors come up.

Hello and thanks for the great mod!
It has saved my forum from many bots.
I have a problem though...
The confirmation code hasn't been added to the login page. So once somebody have tried three times to login they get no image...
What should I add in order for it to work?
Thank you very much.

Is there any news on being able to use this mod for guest posts? I have been trying to do it myself by inserting the code in what look like the relevant places but haven't got it to work. Would you be able to give any quick pointers here?

I have installed your mod for new registrations and it works great, thanks so much for making it, but I'd like to allow guest posting on my forum, the only problem is the phpbb3 captcha doesn't seem to slow down the spambots at all as I've been inundated with spam messages so I've had to disable guest posting. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again for making this mod!

Thank you very much for this MOD. I hope it will resolve the troubles that I encounter with spammers on my site.

The install was pretty straightforward. The fact that somewhere you call it recaptCHa and somewhere recaptHCa is a bit confounding. When I tried to correct it, had to change also the value on some other places. Also at the end of the explanations you say that the changes should be made in the recaptcha.php and in fact they had to be done in recaptcha_lib.php. Anyway these are just minor concerns that attracted my attention as a novice. For the rest the MOD rox.

*Hugs* and wish you good luck.
