phpBB2 + CH to phpBB3 Upgrade Script(s) Package

Does this only work on vanilla phpbb2.0.21?

No, it should work with quite a few mods installed. The only one I can think of that will give you problems is the Category Hierarchy mod, but that changes so many things it is hardly a mod to phpBB2 at all, its more like a new BB.

Although, I would guess RC1 should be out soon. With that will come the official upgrade script...

Im so excited. Ive been waiting for this for about 6 months. And i dont have that but I do have a few mods that I modified to get them to work with 2.0.21. When i try the upgrade script it will not get past all of the posts i guess. Might be time to prune the forums.

No, don't prune the forums. Change the php execution time so it is longer.

Add:

@set_time_limit(6000);

In the index file on top, below the <?php

Note: setting the execution time longer will look like your browser has stalled.
Just be patient with it, it could take a very long time... but it will get all the posts.

Yes... wait a minimum of 10 minutes (600 seconds = 10 minutes)

The code exreaction posted is 100 minutes... that could be a very long wait and would for sure look like your browser is not going to make it... but it will... hopefully in less than 100 minutes.

Ya, I just like adding extra 0's to the ends of numbers.

I would hate to have to upgrade a large forum(thousands of members) with our script...it would take forever.

yeah... though the Beta 1 and 2 -> 3 and 4 script is VERY fast.
It get's it all done in less than 10 minutes for a 600 member, 13k posts board.
