Hi all. :) l have BIG problem with Ajax chat instalation. The problem is next!
l m going step by step instalation instruction, but l have this error:

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Incorrect string value: '\xE2\x99\xA5 Le...' for column 'username' at row 1 [1366]

SQL

INSERT INTO phpbb_chat_sessions (user_id, username, user_colour, user_login, user_lastupdate) VALUES ('2', 'DeXy ♥ LeNiCu', '00FF33', 1332215564, 1332215564)

CALL: dbal->sql_error()

FILE: [ROOT]/shout.php
LINE: 90
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: [ROOT]/index.php
LINE: 29
CALL: include('[ROOT]/shout.php')

when l add this code in my index.php:

//-- mod : AJAX Chat ----------------------------------------------------
//-- add
include($phpbb_root_path . 'shout.' . $phpEx);
//-- fin mod : AJAX Chat ------------------------------------------------

after: $user->setup('viewforum');

I tried to transfer the shout.php at includes folder in my directory, then the forum works, but throws this error via Header:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/index.php on line 29: include(./shout.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

On my other forum I installed without any problems, but this can not be. Here i print screen!
http://www.dodaj.rs/f/u/LA/KAKKCpQ/ajax.png

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I tried to replace the files that need to edit, the forum in which to chat, I asked a million people, nobody knows, we tried in all ways, but nothing helps. : (

P.S. When I added up the browser "chat_install.php?mode=install", it said that I have successfully installed the chat and I delete the file from the root folder, and then this was a mistake.
Help! Thank you advance!

Hi Dexy,

Please look in the support topic for the MOD: viewtopic.php?f=127&t=8675
This topic is for styling only.

That said, looks to me like you didn't upload all the files included in the MOD, and also the chat table isn't formatted UTF8, so your username isn't inserting. (formatting can be changed using a database program such as phpMyAdmin).

Please post any further questions in the proper support topic.

Thanks

The AJAX Chat is STG's most popular MOD and we want it to look the best on your page as possible.
Any questions on accomplishing your style layout preferences on your site will be supported here.
We have many style authors on site that can help you with all your questions.

Who's first?

And while you're here, please show us how cool your AJAX Chat page looks on your site.

This is one X-Treme looking AJAX Chat Center page. I like the look of this subsilver2 type chat!

Sniper_E: Great mod and i love it.
I have searched and read this topic .
Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm using the same style (X-threme) but for the life of me i can't get it to look like your first post in this thread.

If i have read right i need to edit the chat_body.html to make this happen.

What edits did you do to the X-threme style to make it match the rest of the forum?

What i have now it everything is square and no round corners.

If the name is small when you first post and it gets larger when you refresh then your codes may not be the same at the top of the template as they are in the bottom of your template. Highlight the codes in the bottom of your template from <!-- BEGIN chatrow --> all the way down to <!-- END chatrow --> and then right click it an select copy. Then at the top of the template highlight that same section and then right click it and select paste. Make the codes at the top match the code at the bottom in those sections.
NOTE: In the top section leave the --!--{LAST_ID} after the <!-- END chatrow -->
Like this: <!-- END chatrow -->--!--{LAST_ID}

Thanks buddy, It works great!!
Though i see in the edits the (icon_chat_delete.png) has been changed from default.

Would you know where i can get this (icon_chat_delete.png)

Second question, Where do i get/find to add bbcode/smileys to the chat?
I found a mod for it but the link for download is dead.
