I am running live with the new database. Maybe I could run another query which could restore the previous situation, but only if I could solve this problem, otherwise the notice for users and moderators is the best solution I have now.

I have a local copy of the database, I can use it for all necessary tests.

how many posts does your board have?
if there aren't a ton of quotes, you may just want to go with how you have it right now.

About 11.000 posts. The current solution is acceptable, is not perfect but is acceptable. It would be great to have a script which re-parses BBCode on all posts. Then I would remove the red notice with a query and everything would work fine, except that

Code: Select all: "2839"]

would appear in all old quoted posts, which is not a big issue.

that can be fixed easily.
If you can set your quotes back to how they were, I can create a very small script to be able to quickly fix the situation

I think I can with two other queries. So you can write a BBCode-reparse-on-all-posts script?

yes? very easily? you'll want to test it on your local copy though.

EDIT: Tested on a local copy of the database: the reverse queries work fine.
