Podcast David and Gold

I heard David today in the podcast saying that it will be unlikely that the Gold version will be released this year/month.

But at the other hand it could be that he wants to trick us

Anyway just wanna to let you know, I really like the podcasts, its so much different to hear someone talk about phpBB issues than to just read them.

@ David, I noticed that when you are talking trough talkshoe that due to the delay of the transmitting sometimes you get get a sync problem with talking to each other ie. you are answering the question and the other person gives a short feedback, you get to hear that with a delay, so you stop in the middle of a sentence and a silence falls in. Don't know really how to explain it, hope you understand.

The same problem has some tv stations, when ie. CNN in Atlanta has a Live link to Japan with a correspondent, what they do is when one person is ready with talking they call the other persons name.

Yeah, that was an issue in a couple of episodes, most the time it wasn?t too bad, so it was not enough of a problem that it had to be addressed. I think just one episode was really bad that way. It gets better though, and now that I call in via my Softphone, there is literally no delay anymore. But it?s an excellent tip, and I?ll keep it in mind if we have latency problems again in the future.
