phpBB Academy at StarTrekGuide

English within phpBB3 seems americanised. Is there either a language pack or mod for English as it is spelled in England? Every time I post a message at least one word is underlined in red, but the spelling isn't incorrect for my locale and it's annoying the Java.NullPointerException out of me. Please forgive the question if locale and spelling is set by some global variable within PHP itself, if that is the case.

If it's the words you are posting then that's your spell checker thats in US/English.

I would say phpBB is predominantly in EN/English, you can see this with the use of colour over the standard color.

phpBB3 is in not a single way americanised (or americanized, as the americans call it :rotfl:

). If you find american spelling, do not hesitate to report it to the phpBB 3.0 bug tracker. Your problem seems to - as CoC said - relate to some kind of spelling checker you have installed. I am guessing it is the one included in firefox. So it's not actually related to phpBB at all.

If its Firefox - Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General - Languages.
