Just compare MODX to XPKG and you will see what is wrong with MODX. If you won't see it, then well, explaining it won't help you.

Why don?t you explain it in your own words for the benefit of everyone?
If you cannot tell anybody what's wrong with MODX, then maybe there is nothing wrong with MODX.
There is yet to be a reason given to MOD Authors to switch from MODX.
Watch out! I might do a code wheelie!

I do see a problem with your styling of the layout in your XPKG
It's hard to read

This section on this page http://xtreeme.org/xpkg/samplemod/install.xml
(has a bunch of colored background rings, makes it hard to follow)
Find following code.
ext to fin
In the found code
Find following code.
xt to fi
In the found code
Find following code.
t to f
In the found code
Find following code.
to
Remove found code.

I also don't see any benefit in the code, it's similar to ModX, so I don't really see the point.
I personally think the syntax in ModX is easier to read and follow then in yours, but that's my opinion.

These finds are only an example that MOD authors can embed actions in actions without any limit. I don't think, that this feature will be used too often, but I couldn't find any reason to not allow doing it.
