Postby harmlessgoat22 » 17 Oct 2006, 14:52

that was my same train of thought. I want someone to try it, but nobody will. They just don't feel like it, and they have the excuse they don't want to try a MOD that isn't even 1.0.0 yet. Hopefully, if someone helps me with the ACP Module, once that is done, I will add it and release 1.2.0

CHANGELOG:
This is what has been changed since my initial 0.0.1 release. I would edit the first post, but because of some bug in phpBB3 or permissions problem, whenever I edit a post of mine, it removes that poll, and I want the poll!!!

Date: 2006-10-15
Version: 1.0.0
Changes:
MAJOR: Now uses Modules found in the /styles/myStyle/template/modules/ folder for all of both the sidebar, and the top panel. Works excellently
Uses more Lang Variables in more places, causing for less changes in multiple places. A lot easier.
Fixed uncool looking style problem
Changed '%s' to MYSITE in language editting, so user just types in their site's name. Working on getting it to work using variables.

Date: 2006-10-02
Version: 0.0.3
Changes:
Fixed sidebar in portal_body.html
Fixed instructions to be more straight-forward
Changed '%s%' to '%s' in language editting (although I'm not sure %s works any better)
Added TPM (by Aden and harmlessgoat22)
Fixed problem with sidebars in small resolutions, and in IE (go figure)
Fixed problem with cellpic in Portal page in small resolutions, and in IE (go figure)
Fixed login problem in the Top Panel Login Module
Added left sidebar to the memberlist, and also removed some unneeded columns in it

Date: 2006-09-27
Version: 0.0.2
Changes:
Added Avatar on Index

Hey, what up Aden. Just saw your post (I was editting my post above)

Huh...I'd consider it Grin

Sure, I will. I'll just have to remember what I changed...Cause I think you are running a version between 0.0.2 and 0.0.3. See, I didn't have 0.0.3 packaged yet, but I had made a couple changes from 0.0.2 that I liked, but I'll try to atleast get the main features upgraded.

I might not do it now, but I'll try...

Edit: Get this!!! You wouldn't guess what the next thing I added to burnMOD was. I added Handyman's AJAX Chatbox with all credit to him. I hope you are OK with it Handyman. With all due respect, I don't really need your permission, seeing as it is licenced under GPL, but if you aren't OK with it, I'll probably remove it

Harmless.... 1.0.0 means no-bugs... it means Final release... are you sure it's bug-free?

If it's released but may still need testing, you can do 0.2.0 which is Beta Release. an odd digit means in development, if I remember correctly.
Watch out! I might do a code wheelie!

Everything before 1.0.0 is development release. 1.0.0 is first stable release. 1.x.? when x is odd = development release and when x is even = stable release

I know all that...

I believe that I have finished all the features that I think should be in burnMOD, but I still need suggestions. I have tested it a lot and haven't found any bugs. It is also running live at BBMods.co.uk, which hasn't proven any bugs except those because of some uploading problem (I'd upload something that already existed, eg common.php into language/en/common.php, then it wouldn't say the file already existed, and ask me to overright, but instead TWO common.php's appeared in the folder, and when I tried to delete one, I got an error)

But, just to humor you, I'm changing it to 0.2.0

I noticed you liked my idea of using include modules.

Cool

Just FYI, my portal is not in a finished state yet...
(I didn't get time to try this mod or anything, just looked it over)

Sometime when I get to it I will be adding a few extras(it needs to follow permissions).

And I will be needing to keep it compatible with phpBB3 releases. And I am pretty sure it won't work exactly as it is supposed to with B3.

So you might want to watch my site for changes after B3 and any other major phpBB3 release. Wink
