Scooby-Doo film signs up Mark Wahlberg and Star Trek: Discovery star

The new Scooby-Doo animated movie Scoob has signed-up none other than Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs to join the fray.

The two will be on opposite sides though, as Star Trek: Discovery's Isaacs will voice classic baddie Dick Dastardly, while Wahlberg has signed-on as superhero Blue Falcon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

They're not the only big names to join Scoob, with Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile's Zac Efron playing Fred and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!'s Amanda Seyfried already on board as Daphne.

On top of that, The Last Man on Earth's Will Forte will voice Shaggy and Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez will be Velma, while Scooby himself will be voiced by actor Frank Welker.

Scoob will form part of a shared universe as the gang join forces with other characters from the classic animation studio Hanna-Barbera, and will be the first big screen outing for the team since 2004's Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

As well as Dastardly from Wacky Races and Blue Falcon, Captain Caveman will also be in the fold and will be played in the new movie by Saturday Night Live and 30 Rockstar Tracy Morgan.

Scoob is slated for release on May 15, 2020.
