Star Trek: Picard has unveiled a new poster featuring Patrick Stewart

We’re about to boldly go where no man has gone before, well, except for Patrick Stewart’s Picard.

Star Trek: Picard has unveiled an intriguing new poster for the highly anticipated new spin-off series.

The upcoming show sees Stewart reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, after departing the character following 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis.

The brand new poster follows on from the epic first look trailer which shows the Starfleet Captain with a four-legged companion overlooking an alien landscape.

CBS also teased a look at ‘the next chapter’ of his life in a brief clip shared to Twitter.

Previously, the trailer featured a voiceover which said: ‘15 years ago today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history, then the unimaginable.

‘What did that cost you? Your faith. Your faith in us. Your faith in yourself. Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet Admiral?’

Star Trek: Picard picks up 18 years after the events of Nemesis, where Picard has left Starfleet to live out life on his famous vineyard surrounded by peace, grapes and wine.

Sir Patrick Stewart himself teased the new imagery online via is Twitter account, prompting thousands of fans to share their excitement.

One fan wrote: ‘Is that your pupper, Patrick?! Cannot wait!’

While another added: ‘Congratulations, Sir Patrick!’

Star Trek: Picard will air on CBS All Access in the US and Amazon Prime Video.
