Quentin Tarantino Says ‘Star Trek’ Will Be His Last Film If He Commits To Directing

During an interview with CinemaBlend, Quentin Tarantino stated his Star Trek project will be his last film if he commits to directing.

Revered director Quentin Tarantino has previously stated he plans to retire from filmmaking after his 10th feature film, meaning the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is his penultimate movie. Of course, should Quentin Tarantino direct the Star Trek film he wrote, that would end up being the final movie in the filmmaker’s illustrious career.

However, CinemaBlend suggested the fact that Star Trek is not an original project would give Quentin Tarantino a loophole in his self-imposed ten-film limit, allowing him to helm an additional movie as last work. While Quentin Tarantino appeared to be intrigued by the idea of a loophole, he ultimately decided that if he commits to directing Star Trek, it would be his last film as director:
