Star Trek Universe Expanding With Addition Of Two More Series

While some franchises come and go, others make triumphant returns, but there are a few that can defy time with their longevity.  One such franchise would be Star Trek. The original series began back in 1966 and resulted in eight TV series (including the upcoming Picard series) three animated series (also including upcoming installments), a TV short called Short Treks, and thirteen films.  That’s quite the haul over the years, which has produced an enormous fanbase.

For any Trekkies out there, good news, Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin spoke to a panel at the CBS All Access: Star Trek: Picard Press Tour and revealed some information regarding their upcoming projects.

Kudin stated:

Now if that news wasn’t exciting enough for fans, Kurtzman revealed some more news regarding what we can expect from his upcoming five-year plan for the franchise:

These two new shows are in addition to Discovery, Picard, and Section 31!  He was tight-lipped about the projects — which is sure to get the rumors going!
