Jason Isaacs seems gung-ho about returning to Star Trek as Gabriel Lorca

Jason Isaacs is very interested in reprising his Star Trek role as Gabriel Lorca.

Jason Isaacs is known to many for many different reasons. He’s been in the Patriot, Black Hawk Down, Armageddon, and of course the Harry Potter films. Yet, to most reading this article he’s more known as Captain Gabriel Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery, where he was the captain of said ship, the USS Discovery. Of course, there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Lorca, who’s revealed to be the Mirror version of the real Gabriel Lorca in season one of the series.

Further spoilers notwithstanding, Lorca was a bright spot in a season that was maligned by many. So the question of if Isaacs would ever want to return to Star Trek was a fair one and good news for those who were a fan of his; that answer is yes.

Issacs open to a return?

Talking to the Empire Film Podcast, Isaacs revealed he’d be open to the return of Lorca under the right circumstances.

Fans are interested, and if Star Trek: Strange New Worlds delivers classic Trek vibes like many claims it will, then maybe Lorca’s story arc could continue on there. After all, the series is all about exploring the strange and new.
