‘Star Trek Discovery’ Trailer Delivers Crazy Take On The Franchise

Star Trek Discovery is going to be a game-changing show for several reasons, but with the release of the trailer it seems that we’ll be adding to that list, at least if we can believe what we’re seeing. It’s already going to be a very interesting trip into the Star Trek universe, going pre-Kirk/Enterprise, and it’s a massive effort of a show that will air exclusively on CBS All Access, but now we learn that it’s also going a little weird with the timeline… apparently.

I’ll be honest, I’m not the most knowledgeable fan there is, and given what has happened with the franchise through the last few movies, I suppose anything is possible, but there are hints at some odd ideas here.

That said, we get to see quite a bit of flash and spectacle, so if you thought the plan for airing this one in less than traditional ways meant they were going to skimp, I don’t think you have to worry there.

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t give us a lot when it comes to some of the show’s cooler notes, like the fact that Rainn Wilson will be around as Harry Mudd.

At any rate, we at least get more episodes. Check out the trailer below.
