Ubisoft Reveals Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph for IMAX VR

Ever since it released earlier this May, Star Trek: Bridge Crew has let nerds live out their childhood fantasies, assuming the role of Starfleet officers to complete missions. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, or more epic, Ubisoft and IMAX are teaming up to bring the experience to IMAX, with a new edition of the game titled Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph

The companies announced their partnership earlier this week, revealing that the new edition of the game will have exclusive run in IMAX VR centers worldwide. The experience has been re-designed and optimized for up to four players, as players enter the bridge of a new starship, the U.S.S. Aegis, and are dispatched to explore an uncharted sector of space in all new missions.

Just like the original, Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph utilizes hand hand-tracking and full-body avatars, as well as real-time lip sync, to help create the most genuine Star Trek experience imaginable.

If you live in Los Angeles, you are in luck, as Star Trek: Bridge Crew Rescue at Perseph is now available at the IMAX VR center, 157 South Fairfax Los Angeles, CA 90036, with times varying by day. The experience will also be coming to a center new you in New York and Shanghai as well soon.
