Star Trek: Michael Dorn Wants A Worf Spinoff

In a recent interview, Star Trek actor Michael Dorn stated that now would be the perfect time for a Worf spin-off that he has wanted.

During the interview, he stated that now would be a great time for a Worf spin-off as it would not step on anyone toes and compared the Klingon Empire to Shakespeare:

He then continued to talk about the antagonistic Star Trek empire and how it has to change over time:

He later stated what the series would be like. According to Worf, the series would feature a more episodic format with each episode being a self contained story, similar to what we saw in the original Star Trek series and Star Trek: The Next Generation:

From the sound of things, Michael Dorn has a very good idea as to where the series would go.

Michael Dorn first appeared in the franchise as Worf in Star Trek: The Next Generation who was the only Klingon to serve in the Federation’s Star Fleet. He would go on to costar in the four films starring The Next Generation cast and was a major character in the spin-off series, Star Trek: Deep Space 9. So some may argue that we have had enough of Worf to last us a lifetime. But according to Michael Dorn, there are still more Worf stories to tell.

What do you all make of this idea? Would you like to see Worf in his own spin-off series? Would it make a good companion to the upcoming Picard series? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
