Star Trek: Picard Adds Heroes, Daredevil Actors as Series Regulars
As Star Trek fans await the upcoming CBS All Access series starring Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, more information has been announced about the show’s cast.
According to Variety, Santiago Cabrera and Michelle Hurd will be joining the series. Cabrera is known for his roles in Heroes, The Mindy Project, Big Little Lies and Salvation. Hurd has appeared in Daredevil and Jessica Jones on Netflix, as well as Ash vs Evil Dead and Blindspot. Additional details about their roles have not yet been released.

Star Trek alumnus Michael Dorn, who played Worf, has said he would be open to appearing on the show. Similarly, William Shatner recently hinted at the possibility of him returning to the franchise. There is no confirmation that either actor will appear in the Picard series.
The show aims to offer fans something different from what they’re used to seeing with Picard. Producer Alex Kurtzman revealed recently that Picard won’t be a captain in the new series, and that he will be in a very different stage in his life. This makes sense, as the new show is reportedly set 20 years after Star Trek: Nemesis.
"Picard's life was radically altered by the dissolution of the Romulan Empire," Kurtzman said.
