Star Trek's Captain Janeway Has a Message for Captain Marvel

As Captain Marvel thrills fans in theaters everywhere this weekend, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has one noted fan from the Star Trek franchise: Star Trek: Voyager star Kate Mulgrew.

On Mulgrew's Twitter account, the actor posted her praise of the MCU film to Captain Marvel star Brie Larson with a self-referential wink at the two actors' characters heroic reputation for saving the galaxy.

Mulgrew had starred on Voyager as Captain Kathryn Janeway, the first female lead on Star Trek series for seven seasons. Shortly after the end of the series, Mulgrew would briefly reprise the role in 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis, showing the character as having been promoted to an Admiral in Starfleet.

With Captain Marvel poised to do big business at the box office this weekend, Carol Danvers is about to boldly go where no MCU hero has gone before.
