Star Trek Animated Series Lands at Nickelodeon
In February, it was revealed that CBS and Nickelodeon were teaming up to bring a new Star Trek animated series to younger viewers. Now, we have our first official details about the show.
The CG-animated Star Trekseries will center on "agroup of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation."
Developed by Emmy Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman, the show will be executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth, while Aaron Baiers will serve as a co-executive producer.

“Partnering with CBS Television Studios and the creative masterminds behind the ‘Star Trek’ franchise is an incredible opportunity and allows our audience to discover rich characters and new stories,” Naito added. “‘Star Trek’ is a franchise loved by generations of fans around the globe, and adding Nickelodeon as home to the next animated series is a perfect fit.”
The Star Trek animated series has yet to receive a release date but will debut exclusively on Nickelodeon.
