Star Trek: Discovery's Ethan Peck Discusses Spock's Potential Return
While Star Trek: Discovery's second season has come to an end, it's unclear what the show's future holds for several of the CBS All Access series's cast members and fan-favorite characters.
Although the show ostensibly focuses on the adventures of the U.S.S. Discovery roughly ten years before the original Star Trek, two members of the Enterprise's crew, Anson Mount's Captain Pike and Ethan Peck's Spock, joined the series as Discovery crew members and were consistently lauded as the season's high points.
Although both of those actors and characters are not reportedly set to return for the show's next season, Mount has already expressed interest in reprising his role, and Peck echoed those sentiments in a new interview.

"Now I feel like I've done a lot of the groundwork and Spock is very much a part of me. I'm the same but different having finished it. So would I like to continue? Yeah. I think it would be great."
At this time, it's not clear where Peck's prospective return as Spock could take place. Thanks to the dramatic events of the show's season finale, it seems unlikely that Peck or Mount could reprise their roles aboard the Discovery. However, Discovery showrunner Alex Kurtzman has already teased the possibility of a spinoff show focused on Captain Pike.
However, CBS is developing an ambitious slate of Trek programming where Peck's Spock could theoretically pop up. Those programs include an adult animated comedy series, a kid-friendly animated series, a Discovery spinoff focusing on Michelle Yeoh's Section 31 agent Phillipa Georgiou and a now-filming series will see Patrick Stewart return to the iconic role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 stars Sonequa Martin-Green as Commander Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Commander Saru, Anthony Rapp as Lt. Commander Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Ensign Sylvia Tilly, Shazad Latif as Ash Tyler, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Mary Chieffo as L'Rell, Tig Notaro as Chief Engineer Reno, Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One and Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou. The first two seasons are available to stream now on CBS All Access.
