CBS Airing ‘The Good Fight’ Season 1 Starting June 2019; ‘Instinct’ Season 2 Delayed

CBS is looking to its own backyard for a Sunday summer programming boost, with CBS Corp acting CEO Joe Ianniello announcing on Wednesday during a shareholders metting that the network will air the entire first season of CBS All AccessThe Good Fight starting June 16. Up until now, the Christine Baranski-starring The Good Wife spinoff from creators Robert King and Michelle King was only available on the streaming service. This isn’t the first time CBS engaged in a little “content sharing”: in September 2017, the network aired the premiere of CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery.

With The Good Fight setting up shop on Sunday nights (with a little “language clean-up” necessary) starting mid-June, the second season premiere of Instinct has been delayed two weeks – pushing back airing until Sunday, June 30, at 9 p.m.

The first two episodes The Good Fight will air back-to-back on starting at 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, with the following two episodes airing in the same slot the following Sunday. When Instinct premieres at the end of June, The Good Fight will shift to the 10 pm. slot.
