What We Left Behind coming to SDCC 2019 with new footage
The Deep Space Nine documentary What We Left Behind is coming to San Diego Comic-Con 2019 with a panel discussion and new footage.
It’s fair to say that one of the biggest Star Trek events of the year so far has been the release of What We Left Behind, the crowdfunded Star Trek: Deep Space Nine documentary. Everyone who saw the film during its one-night showing in theaters loved the film and anticipation is very high for the Blu-ray release from Shout! Factory next month.
However, if you are going to be attending San Diego Comic-Con later this month, you will have the chance to be one of the first fans to snag a copy of What We Left Behind as a physical release.
Shout! Factory has announced their plans for SDCC and it includes copies of the documentary for sale at the Shout! Factory booth on the SDCC show floor. In addition, you will also get a free poster with your purchase.
But wait there’s more. Shout! Factory will also be holding a What We Left Behind panel on Friday, July 19 in Room 23AB. The hour-long panel will include cast members Andy Robinson, Aron Eisenberg, Cirroc Lofton, Chase Masterson and Penny Johnson Jerald as well as executive producer Ira Steven Behr.
And as if that wasn’t enough to get any DS9 fan excited, the panel will also include the debut of brand new footage not seen in the theatrical release of What We Left Behind.
From the Shout! Factory website:
Have no fear if you are one of the backers from the crowdfunding campaign. Word is that backers are due to receive their copies of the film by the middle of July, before SDCC begins.
