“Our Boys,” “For All Mankind” Promo Trailers

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing in 1969 and timed with it, Apple has released a new featurette about their upcoming series “For All Mankind” which takes the famous 1960s Space Race and changes it up.

The new series posits a world where the Russians made it to the moon before the United States and as a result America never slowed down its space exploration and discovery – remaining determined to expand NASA and its space program.

Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Shantel VanSanten, Sarah Jones, and Jodi Balfour star int the series. The project hails from Emmy winner Ronald D. Moore (“Outlander,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Battlestar Galactica”), Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi and is scheduled to debut on Apple TV+ this Fall shortly after the service launches.

Also today, HBO has released the trailer for its new ten-part limited thriller series “Our Boys” which is set against the backdrop of the Israel and Palestine conflict.

The story begins in the summer of 2014 as three Jewish teenagers are kidnapped and murdered by Hamas militants. Two days later, the burned body of a Palestinian teenager from eastern Jerusalem is found in a forest on the western outskirts of the city.

In the ensuing days, an agent from the internal terror division of the Shin Bet investigates the murder, while the parents of the slain teenager begin their long and anguished journey toward justice and consolation. The series premieres on August 12th.
