Quentin Tarantino & Uma Thurman Have Been Talking About KILL BILL VOL. 3
You have picked up your copy of BMD Magazine's Quentin Tarantino issue, right?
Quentin Tarantino's highly-anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters this weekend, and you know what that means: QT himself making the interview rounds, fielding one question after another about the various projects he's toyed with making over the years.
So far, most of these questions have been related to Tarantino's would-be Star Trek project, but over at the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, host Josh Horowitz had another title in mind: the long-rumored, frequently-discussed, as-yet-unofficially-confirmed Kill Bill Vol. 3. Horowitz asked Tarantino for a status update on that particular project, to which he said (as quoted by Collider):
Obviously, this is far from a confirmation. It's actually about as tenuous a quote as we can imagine! And yet, discussions are taking place. Thurman and Tarantino have been in touch about it. This is almost certainly more activity than has taken place recently on, say, The Vega Brothers, and that seems worth mentioning.
Will Kill Bill Vol. 3 actually happen? With Tarantino still insisting that he'd love to retire after his tenth film (that'd be the next one), that does make the whole thing seem less likely, especially given how excited he sounds about making this Star Trek movie, but remember: as of this writing, Tarantino hasn't signed on to any "next project", so nothing's been decided yet. Could happen, in other words, but who knows?
What do y'all think? Do you have any interest in Tarantino revisiting the world of Kill Bill? Would you prefer that to QT's Star Trek? Got another idea you'd like to see him explore? Sound off in the comments below, and do stay tuned further updates on Tarantino's 10th film, whatever it may be, as they become available.
