Spider-Man, Supergirl And Star Trek Win Big at Saturn Awards

Weeks after the nominations for the best in sci-fi, horror, fantasy and genre fiction films and television were announced, the 45th Saturn Award winners are in. And among the night's biggest winners are Spider-Man: Far From Home, Supergirl and Star Trek: Discovery.

The event was held Friday night at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, and everyone's favorite web-slinger won for in the categories of live-action and animated films. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won Best Animated Film, while Zendaya and Tom Holland took home Best Supporting Actress and Best Performance by a Younger Actor, respectively, for Spider-Man: Far from Home. Holland won the award for a third consecutive time, setting an unprecedented streak for any Saturn category.

Marvel tallied up six wins with Avengers: Endgame. The film won Best Comic-to-Film Motion Picture, with Robert Downey Jr. earning Best Actor while Josh Brolin nabbed Best Supporting Actor. Endgame also picked up awards for visual effects, film editing and production design.

On the television and streaming side, the CW's Supergirl won Best Superhero Series on Television. CBS All Access's Star Trek: Discovery nabbed Best Streaming Science Fiction, Action & Fantasy Series while series regulars Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones earned Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Presentation, respectively.
