“Star Trek: Picard” Admiral Uniform Photo

CBS All Access has unveiled a new photo from their upcoming spin-off series “Star Trek: Picard,” one which features a first look at Jean-Luc Picard’s admiral uniform.

IDW Publishing has also revealed the cover art for their upcoming three-issue comic book series “Star Trek: Picard – Countdown” which fills in some of the gap between “Star Trek: Nemesis” and “Star Trek: Picard”.

Set two decades after the events of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” the story will follow former U.S.S. Enterprise captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) in the next phase of his life. The story will play up into Picard’s love of archaeology with a mission to revolve around some sort of alien artefact that’s been discovered.

In addition, it will also deal with Picard’s role in having brokered peace with the Romulans and then watching it crumble with the destruction of Romulus due to a stellar event.

Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Evan Evagora and Michelle Hurd star in the series which begins airing this Fall. Stewart, Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth all serve as executive producers along with Michael Chabon who is the showrunner.

“Star Trek: Picard” debuts on January 23rd 2020 on CBS All Access in the United States and Amazon Prime worldwide.
