“Snake Eyes” Gets A Daddy From “Expanse”

Steven Allerick, who plays a recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of Amazon’s highly acclaimed sci-fi drama “The Expanse,” has joined the cast of the new “G.I. Joe” film “Snake Eyes” at Paramount Pictures.

“Crazy Rich Asians” and “Last Christmas” star Henry Golding plays the title role in the film which charts his early days as he attempts to join the ranks of the Ninja Clan known as Arashikage. The film also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Ursula Corbero as The Baroness, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, and Samara Weaving as Scarlett.

Allerick doesn’t appear to be much older than Golding so the actor will likely appear in flashbacks. in the lore, Snake Eyes was abandoned as a ten-year-old which would fit.

It would mark Allerick’s first major film role after bit parts in TV series for two decades playing characters ranging from firefighters to starship cooks, guards to bartenders, and terrorists to air traffic controllers in shows ranging from “Westworld” to “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “NCIS LA,” “9-1-1,” “Colony,” “SWAT,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Extant,” “Scorpion,” “Relic Hunter” and “Highlander: The Raven”.

“R.I.P.D.” director Robert Schwentke is set to helm the movie from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos. “Snake Eyes” will open in cinemas on October 16th 2020.
