Kill Bill 3 is finally "in the cards", according to Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino finally has an exciting update about Kill Bill 3.

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director has been hinting at returning to the brutal world he created with the two-part revenge tale for the past 15 years, only to be repeatedly distracted by other projects.

It was this past summer when Tarantino most recently broached the subject of the threequel, but it now looks like he is seriously thinking about making the movie… eventually.

Tarantino chatted with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM Radio earlier this week, revealing that a recent dinner with Uma Thurman has inspired him to crack Kill Bill 3's storyline.

"Well, I just so happen to have had dinner with Uma Thurman last night. We were at a really cool Japanese restaurant," he recalled."She was bragging about me, and I was bragging about her. It was a lovely night."

The filmmaker went on: "Well, I do have an idea of what I would do. That was the whole thing, conquering that concept... exactly what's happened to The Bride since then, and what do I want to do.

"Because I wouldn't want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn't deserve that!

"The Bride has fought long and hard. Now, I have an idea that actually could be interesting. I wouldn't do it for a little bit, though. It would be like at least three years from now, or something like that.

"But, look, it is definitely in the cards."

Tarantino added that Kill Bill 3 would conceivably be his next film project, after he gets through with a play and a "five-episode TV series" he'd written prior to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's release.

He has also purportedly been involved in the conception of an R-rated Star Trek movie that he won't actually be directing. Tarantino has previously hinted he will retire as a director with his next film.
