Wil Wheaton's Crisis on Infinite Earths Cameo Was a Nod to Superman II

The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" features more DC cameos and references that one can count, and another one has just been revealed.

In one of the first scenes of the crossover, Star Trek: The Next Generation's Wil Wheaton cameos as an apocalyptic protestor. However, if that wasn't enough, the sign he carries is also a reference to a past DC film.

In a tweet posted by Jay Faerber, the Supergirl producer shared a photo of Wil Wheaton's cameo in "Crisis" next to a still from Superman II. Both Wheaton and the Superman II character are holding the same sign that reads: "PREPARE TO MEET THY DOOM. THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH."
