Star Trek: Picard Series Premiere Is Free to Watch on YouTube

After months of anticipation, Star Trek: Picard has officially premiered, with Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic, fan-favorite role as Jean-Luc Picard for new adventures across the cosmos.

For those without a subscription to the premium streaming service CBS All Access where new episodes debut each Thursday, CBS has officially made the premiere episode available to stream for free online through YouTube to help entice viewers to follow the story on its digital platform. The free episode has been uploaded in the form of an unlisted video and is available for a limited time only.

Taking place years after Picard's last appearance in the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis, the new series follows the venerable Starfleet officer after he has officially retired from the service to run his family vineyard in France after disagreeing with the Federation's drastic policy changes.

Over a week before the series premiere, CBS officially renewed it for a second season, in a strong vote of confidence for the ten-episode first season. With two episodes now available to stream on CBS All Access, fans can immediately follow up the premiere through the digital platform to continue Picard's story.

Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Harry Treadaway. A new episode arrives each Thursday on CBS All Access.
