Picard follows the titular retired Starfleet admiral, who left his military career behind after the United Federation withdrew its support of Romulan refugees and banned synthetic life following a devastating attack on Mars. After Picard meets a mysterious android woman, he embarks on one last mission across the cosmos that could save the Federation from itself.

The new series marks Stewart's return to the eponymous role for the first time since the 2002 theatrical film Star Trek: Nemesis. Prior to this, Stewart had starred as the character in three feature films and seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, introducing the science fiction franchise to new audiences.

Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, and Harry Treadaway. New episodes of the series premiere every Thursday on CBS All Access.
