March Madness Star Trek Edition: The villains final 4 is here

The Star Trek March Madness tournament is almost over as some obvious names from the villains have moved on to the final four of their bracket.

The heroes of Star Trek have moved on to their final four and now it’s the villains’ turn. With voting open until Friday,  you have a chance to make sure your favorite moves on to the finals. The winners of the final four will begin their race for the finals on Saturday, and then after that, the winner of the villain bracket will take on the winner of the Starfleet bracket on April 17.

The villains who’ve made it this far include Khan Noonien Singh, arguably the most known or at the very least beloved villain of the Star Trek universe. He dispatched the Duras Sisters in a lopsided affair.

Like Khan before him, Kai Winn didn’t stand a chance against Q. Q has proven to be a tough nut to crack for those who’ve drawn him in the bracket. So far he hasn’t had any real competition. Though that could very easily change now that he’s got Khan to deal with.

On the flip side, Lore put up a good fight against Gul Dukat but the might of the Cardassian Empire was too much for Data’s broken baddie brother. Dukat shouldn’t celebrate too soon, as he’s got the most intimidating alien force’s figurehead to deal with. The Borg Queen assimilated the chances of General Chang and won handily, setting up two very close matches for the final four.

With Dukat vs. the Borg Queen and Khan vs. Q, the four most noteworthy and popular villains survive to the end. The literal four top seeds. I have to wonder how many times that’s actually happened in the actual March Madness tournament. Has there ever been a tournament where all four top seeds made it to the final four? I’m sure there has been, right?

You have until the end of Friday, April 10 to vote, with the next ballot starting that Saturday.

Voting for the Starfleet side goes until Thursday night, with this week’s Friday Night Fight featuring the finals of the Starfleet bracket.
