Garrett Wang on Returning to Sci-Fi With Unbelievable!!!!! [Exclusive Interview]

Garrett Wang played Ensign Harry Kim for years in Star Trek: Voyager. Since its send, the Star Trek alum took on various roles in movies, short films, and video games. At one point, he entered into retirement to pursue other opportunities.

Then sci-fi spoof Unbelievable!!!!! came along, and it was too hard to pass up.

Wang plays Dr. Charles Hunter, one of the three scientists seeking to stop an invasion from alien plant lifeforms.

The film production recruited over forty former Star Trek actors into the project. Some of the Star Trek alumni included Chase Masterson, Nichelle Nichols, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Robert Picardo, Nana Visitor, to name a few. Non-Star Trek actors in the movie feature Snoop Dogg, Robert Davi, Michael Madsen, Gilbert Gottfried, Katarina Van Derham, and McKenzie Westmore.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Unbelievable!!!!! is a sci-fi parody adventure which follows the crazy exploits of four off-beat astronauts (one is a marionette) who travel to the Moon on a rescue mission to determine the fate of two Space Agency comrades who have not been heard from in several days. The individuals they find at the Lunar Base are not who they appear to be, and through acts of trickery and deception, nearly succeed in killing them. Soon the astronauts find themselves trying to save the Earth from Plant Aliens!!

Unbelievable!!!!! had its premiere over this past weekend at a special online red carpet and virtual convention event. The successful event had numerous Star Trek and film production crew participating in a virtual meet and greet and Q&A sessions with paid attendees.

The official release date will be announced at a later date.
